A Rumored Xbox 360 IPTV Fall Update
I was reading Xbox360fanboy’s post on Rumor: Leaked screens show IPTV and Fall update and ive learned from the post that when an Xbox 360 owner got his console from repairs his 360 didn’t have the fall update yet but an interesting news is that it was discovered that his console had an extra setting for IPTV service. Hrrmm, how come I didn’t have that? When my 360 got back from repairs all I had was an extra heatsink to counter the RROD but later after hours of playing, my 360 did another RROD on me. Resulting to the immediate burial of my box. Ok, so the actual burial didn’t occur I just stopped playing with my 360 for weeks, my 360 miraculously started working again just in time for Halo 3.
Now for the IPTV rumor part there was a new TV icon option that replaced the Video Marketplace option of the dashboard and the description for the TV option button has these :
- Use television services. Live & recorded TV
- On-demand movies
- Chat while watching TV
hrrmm IPTV options, no doubt about it and what I think it’s closely related to the Fall update. Who knows the next time we turn on our 360 for another round of gaming marathon madness, we have that mysterious option too.
