Xbox 360 Damage Report

I’m back with another round of Xbox 360 madness. :) I heard rumors that certain 360 units, overheats after a certain amount of game time. Having experienced those kinds of problems, I’m beginning to loose hope in my trusty 360. I have my fare share of the problems that my 360 caused me even have the dreaded 3 red Rings of Light, and did almost a couple of wacky solutions to revive my Xbox 360 with reference to my blog post at the QuickStop. Having your Xbox 360 fail on you more than once would make you start thinking of other options, or maybe even other consoles. But luckily there are still people there that puts a smile in us xbox 360 fanboys.

Now It came to my mind would extra fans prevent the 360 from overheating? Would it prevent the Red Ring of Lights?

Maybe this would help. I’m thankful for this wonderful post @ maxconsole.net

Do extra fans on the Xbox 360 prevent the red light syndrome?

“The Whisper Fan by Talismoon may have saved my 360. I haven’t seen the freeze up/artifact problem since installation of the fan” says Phallius of the MaxConsole Forums in response to a thread regarding the installation of new heatsinks by MS on the Xbox 360. Another forum user also suggested the use of the XCM third fan in preventing a dead Xbox 360. So we ask, anyone who has had an Xbox 360 die on them, did you install any extra cooling on it? Let us know here.

The XBox 360 is not exactly known for it’s cool temperatures. I fondly refer to mine as a space heater. That is handy in the freezing cold winter months but not so convenient in the blazing hot summer months. Now that temperatures are officially warm and we have weeks of hot days ahead of us, we could use some cooling down.

Oh well another round of gaming, and the quest for the ultimate solutions to your 360 red ROL nightmares.
