Xbox 360 Price Drop Rumors
Due to the success of Nintendo Wii, Microsoft may need to re-access their strategy and come up with a winning solution.
According to Peter Moore corporate VP of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, in an interview at next-gen.biz.
“If we don’t make that move, make it early and expand our demographic, we will wind up in the same place as with Xbox 1, a solid business with 25 million people. What I need is a solid business with 90 million people.'’
So it seems they may cut the price down to $199 to boost console sales and to be ready for Christmas time. To sell a lot of Xbox 360’s is selling lots of games at the same time. A good one-two punch combo, the current Xbox 360 sells for $300 to $400 depending on the model, and the Xbox 360 Elite goes for $480. So the logical solution would be to go down lower than $250 Wii, to $200, that’s should boost Xbox360 sales to a whole new level. Well it’s time to save up some cash cause when that $200 Xbox 360 comes out by fall I’ll buy myself a dozen 360’s.
